Countless Persimmons of Prosperity

The persimmon holds rich auspicious meanings in traditional culture. Since “persimmon” (柿) sounds similar to “matter” (事), it symbolizes everything going smoothly and all matters being auspicious; mature persimmons are mostly red, and red in China represents celebration, symbolizing a vibrant and prosperous life; multiple persimmons together symbolize good things coming in pairs and continuous celebrations; and the plump shape of persimmons also symbolizes abundance and fulfillment in life.
